His innovations in management science and organizational development are in use all over the world, including the United Nations Development Program. He is also an authority on distributed solar, having consulted for solar companies in California for seven years. He is a member of the California Intergovernmental Task Force on Consumer Protection and regularly advises the California Public UtilityCommission. He was trained as a mathematician, and he has decades of experience in all aspects of business finance.
